Most Nigerians know the President’s name and the federal budget headline. Far fewer know what their governor or council chairman receives each month — even though that money pays for the clinics, classrooms and roads closest to them.

What we do

• Read every monthly FAAC report, quarterly debt report and state revenue release, automatically.
• Show the figures for every state and every one of the 774 local governments, in plain language.
• Collect news about budgets, contracts and projects in each place, so the money can be followed to what it bought.
• Flag where official documents contradict themselves.

What we don’t do

We don’t take sides. Every figure links to the government document it came from, and the methods are public.
